William Shakespeare knew love.
...Or so it seemed...
Remember the classic rock song that went...
"Cupid, draw bacvk your bow, and let your arrow go
Straight to my lover's heart, for me."
(Nobody but me-e-e-e)
Ahem.
I've never seen a chubby little angel with a bow and arrow, but I think I know what it is all about. ZING!?! There's no rhyme or reason to when and how love comes, that's for sure.
But if anyone could spin a tale of love & hate it certainly was Shakespeare. Here's one of his most famous quotes on the subject.
(Note to the guys: memorize this one and save it for a special occassion. Hint, hint.)
"Love looks not with the eyes,
but with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid
painted blind."
-William Shakespeare, Mid-Summer Night's Dream, 1595
(Speechless)
-Jack
